DESCRIPTION:Calling all healthcare providers and patients\, both men and women!  \nCourse Objectives:\n\nDescribe the basic principles of developmental kinesiology and DNS principles with an emphasis on development during the first year of life\nExplain the relationship between development during the first year of life and pathology of the locomotor system in adulthood.\nDescribe and demonstrate assessment of the integrated stabilizing system of the spine utilizing dynamic functional tests\nCorrective exercises based on the DNS functional tests and developmental positions\nFunctional relationship between diaphragm and pelvic floor\nRelaxation and activation of pelvic floor muscles\nPelvic floor integration in global movement patterns\nFunctional sterility\nUrinary stress incontinence\nDysmenorrhea\nNon-specific pelvic pain\nConstipation\nPregnancy – importance of diaphragm and pelvic floor\nSoft tissue & visceral techniques\, “active scar” treatment using barrier phenomenon according to Lewit\nDNS based mobilization for lumbar spine and Lewit’s mobilization and relaxation techniques + self-treatment techniques for pelvic region\nProvide DNS pelvic exercises and integrate these within the DNS progression framework\n\n  \nNo Prerequisite Needed.\nEarn CE Credits in Your State\nPlease Note: The continuing education hours offered for this course are approved for Doctors of Chiropractic (DC) ONLY in the 35 states listed below.
